Our Core Principle

No interior cameras are permitted in any 29 Travel Club property. This applies to all indoor spaces including bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, hallways, and any other interior location. Your privacy is non-negotiable.

Policy Details

Interior Cameras - Strictly Prohibited

Host Members are absolutely prohibited from installing, maintaining, or using any recording devices inside their property, including:

  • • Bedrooms and sleeping areas
  • • Bathrooms and toilets
  • • Living rooms and common indoor spaces
  • • Kitchens and dining areas
  • • Hallways and corridors
  • • Any other interior location

This prohibition applies regardless of the camera's purpose, whether it's for security, monitoring, or any other reason. Hidden cameras are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal from the platform.

Exterior Cameras - Allowed with Disclosure

Host Members may install exterior cameras in the following locations, provided they are clearly disclosed:

  • • Front entrance/doorway
  • • Back patio or garden
  • • Driveway
  • • Parking area
  • • Other outdoor perimeter areas

Important: Any exterior cameras must be clearly visible, disclosed in the listing, and must NOT capture windows, doors, or any views into the interior of the property. Cameras must only monitor the exterior grounds.

Other Recording Devices

In addition to cameras, the following devices are also prohibited:

  • • Audio recording devices (microphones, voice recorders)
  • • Noise monitoring devices
  • • Motion-activated recording devices
  • • Hidden or disguised recording equipment
  • • Any device that records guest activity or conversations

Enforcement & Consequences

We take privacy violations extremely seriously. Violations of this policy will result in:

  • First violation: Immediate removal of the property from the platform
  • Repeat violations: Permanent ban from 29 Travel Club
  • Hidden cameras: Permanent ban and potential legal action

Travel Members who discover any unauthorized recording devices should immediately report them to our support team. We will investigate all reports thoroughly and take appropriate action.

As a 29 Travel Club member, you have the right to:

  • • Expect complete privacy inside the property
  • • Know about any exterior cameras before booking
  • • Cancel your stay without penalty if you discover unauthorized cameras
  • • Report privacy violations to our support team
  • • Receive a full refund if privacy is violated

Can I request a property without exterior cameras?

Yes. When browsing properties, you can filter to show only listings without any cameras. All exterior cameras are clearly disclosed in the listing details.

What if I find a hidden camera?

This is a serious violation. Contact our support team immediately. We will investigate, remove the property from our platform, and work with local authorities if necessary. You will receive a full refund.

Are doorbell cameras allowed?

Doorbell cameras are considered exterior cameras and are allowed only if they are clearly disclosed and do not capture interior spaces. They must be visible to guests.

What about smart home devices with cameras?

Any smart home device with recording capability (including cameras, microphones, or audio recording) is prohibited inside the property. This includes smart speakers with visual monitoring features.

How do you enforce this policy?

We conduct regular inspections, respond to all member reports, and work with local authorities when necessary. Hosts who violate this policy are immediately removed from the platform and permanently banned.
