The 29 Travel Club thrives on mutual respect, trust, and shared responsibility. This Code of Conduct outlines the expectations for all members to ensure a positive, safe, and welcoming experience for everyone in our community.

Respect the Home

Your host's home is a privilege to stay in. Treat it with the care and respect you would want for your own property.

Use all furniture, appliances, and amenities gently and as intended

Follow the home guide and house rules provided by your host

Report any damages or issues immediately to your host

Leave the home in excellent condition, completing all pre-departure tasks

Leave a thank-you note or small gift as a gesture of appreciation

Do not rearrange furniture or make any modifications without permission

Communicate Honestly and Respectfully

Open, honest, and timely communication is the foundation of our community. We expect all members to engage respectfully with hosts and fellow members.

Respond promptly to inquiries from your host (within 24 hours when possible)

Report any damages, concerns, or issues immediately rather than waiting

Maintain respectful and professional tone in all communications

Address conflicts or concerns directly and constructively

Provide honest feedback about your experience to help improve our community

Respect different perspectives and communication styles across cultures

Respect Check-In and Check-Out Times

Punctuality and advance planning show respect for your host's schedule and the next guest's arrival.

Arrive and depart at the agreed-upon times

Request any schedule adjustments in advance with your host's approval

Complete all pre-departure tasks before checkout (cleaning, returning keys, etc.)

Notify your host if you will be late for check-in

Leave the home ready for the next guest

Do not extend your stay without explicit written approval

Respect Privacy

Privacy is sacred. Respect your host's personal space, belongings, and information.

Do not open drawers, closets, or cabinets that are not designated for guest use

Do not use personal items belonging to your host without explicit permission

Do not share photos or videos of the home on social media without permission

Do not share your host's personal information with anyone

Respect your host's privacy if they are present in the home

Do not invite guests to explore areas marked as private or off-limits

Follow House Rules

Each home has unique rules designed to maintain the property and ensure everyone's comfort and safety.

Ask for permission before bringing guests, family members, or additional people

Ask for permission before bringing pets, even if you believe they are well-behaved

Do not host gatherings, parties, or events without explicit written approval

Respect noise levels, especially during evening and early morning hours

Follow guidelines for smoking, alcohol consumption, and other activities

Adhere to any restrictions on cooking, laundry, or use of specific appliances

Do not make any changes to locks, security systems, or access codes

Maintain Safety and Security

Everyone's safety is our top priority. We all share responsibility for maintaining a secure environment.

Lock all doors and windows when leaving the home

Do not share access codes or keys with anyone outside your group

Report any security concerns immediately to your host

Do not allow unauthorized people to enter the home

Be aware of emergency exits and procedures

Do not disable or tamper with security systems or cameras

Report any suspicious activity to local authorities

Uphold Community Values

Treat all members, hosts, and staff with dignity and respect regardless of background

Do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, or any other characteristic

Embrace cultural differences and learn from members around the world

Support fellow members and contribute positively to our community

Report any harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior immediately

Be a good ambassador for the 29 Travel Club in all interactions

Financial Responsibility

Honesty and accountability in all financial matters build trust in our community.

Pay all fees and charges on time as agreed

Report any billing discrepancies immediately

Do not attempt to circumvent payment systems or fees

Reimburse your host for any damages or additional costs incurred

Honor your booking commitments or provide proper notice for cancellations

Do not make false claims for refunds or credits

Consequences of Violating This Code

We take violations of this Code of Conduct seriously. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, consequences may include:

  • Verbal or written warning
  • Temporary suspension of booking privileges
  • Requirement to complete community training or mediation
  • Financial penalties or liability for damages
  • Permanent removal from the 29 Travel Club community
